Hi Gang,
It's very possible that Dick Bodine is correct about the NY Times website
being accessible only after you have registered with them for a free
subscription. I had already registered for my free subscription many months
ago and so when I went to the site to view the article... I wasn't aware I
was being given access because I was previously registered. Usually, when
I want to access that website I must give them the User Name and
Password.... a royal pain..... but to view the referenced article.....
nothing was required so I just...... God Help Me..... ASSUMED..... that
anyone can go and have a free peek.
If it's any consolation to anyone.... once you've registered at the site
you WILL NOT receive loads and loads of solicitations. I really can't
remember any at all.
As for the copyright issues.... I would NOT recommend anyone posting a copy
of the article to this or any other site..... however, if I make a copy of
it and e-mail it to you personally as an attachment..... or even a hard
copy dropped in the mail.... only Stu Green, WA2MOE will find something to
complain about (since he is an intellectual property rights attorney....
and a good friend. But then again..... who's to know what I'm doing unless
"Big Brother" is watching us. ;-)) (Sorry Stu.... I forgot your name was
Copyrighted)
