Just a note about replying to spammers - most likely the return address is
either an innocent party or a "guest" account active only for a few hours
of access time.  Sometimes the spammers will find a way to bootleg a relay
off of an email server...in this case the flood of angry replies deluge
the poor email adminstrator. 

Our email service at work required three weeks of programmer and
administrator time to build in anti-relay features.  This cost a lot of
money and disrupted our entire facility's email during the construction
period.  There should be some way to identify and sue these thieves for
damages - it's not a free-speech issue, it's "theft of services".

The spammers could care less whether you're mad at them, just like the
telemarketers.  They will only stop when the companies using them to
advertise stop.  I don't know who pays attention to that crap, anyway,
probably the same set of gullible mouthbreathers that buy cubic zirconia
encrusted tweezers off the cable channels.  Get real good at using your
delete key...

And now back to discussions of ham-radio towers and the like...
