     Good chance there are a couple of teeth missing on the large ring 
     gear.  Did you have the antennas "parked" at 285 deg. for a while 
     during a big wind?
     
     I'm sure the experts will chime in, but that seems like a lot of mast 
     for a Ham-m.  I had lots of problems with rotors near the top of the 
     tower, often losing some ring gear teeth, but excellent success with 
     the rotor down in the tower 8-10'.
     
     With the rotor only down 4', that thrust bearing makes a real nice 
     "pivot point", putting mucho sideways stress on the rotor.  If all the 
     teeth are still there, then you have an alignment problem with binding 
     at that point (285 deg).
