Lee,
Check out the W4NC tour site at
http://summitschool.com/w4nc.html
Our station is located in a two story municipal Red Cross building, with
permission for just one tower and several wire antennas run to outlying
treetops. Asthetics need to be preserved(although I think lots of antennas
look great, hi...), and so we must maximize our space. ( In fact, we just
had the battle with the Red Cross administrators about our 160 loop . We won
this one, and get to keep it up through this weekend, but we'll have to
create a "stealthier" looking antenna next week for permenant use.)
We will be running multi/single from here. The past 5 years our group has
work it from a mountaintop, almost like Field Day. This year, we're coming
home to our club shack. It'll be nice not to have to install towers and
antennas in 1 day in the cold and rain of the Blue Ridge mountains. Now if
we can just keep everything running for 48 hours...
Hope to hear you on this weekend- good luck!
If you have any questions, I check email hourly and would be happy to respond.
