Normal concrete is a 2000-lb mix that hardens to about 50% within 7 days and
95% after 30 days. This can be a problem.
I like doing things at the last minute -- including pouring free-standing bases.
My solution: Order 4000-lb mix concrete. (ask for a slump test on-site) For
a minor cost premium, you get 2000-lb strength after 7 days and who cares
after that? I poured a base for a 72' free-stander and had it fully cranked
for the CQ WW in 4 days with no problems.
