Hi Herb,
Properly working flourescents shouldn't give you any RFI problem.
Behind me here in the shack are six flourescent fixtures with four
tubes each. The transceivers can't hear the difference if they're on or
off. Then again, the transceivers are within two inches of a computer
monitor and there is barely any detectable RFI from it either.
If your flourescents are giving you a problem... it's probably time for
new balasts. If the expense is too great.... wire in an incandescant
circuit.... but you shouldn't need to.
