Agree with Jeff, using a 1000SDX turning a Mosley Pro 67B. I went
through the same rain dance with the clamps slipping until I put the
recommended bolt through the mast (Thank God for titanium nitride drill
bits). Since then absolutely no problems including some VERY severe
thunderstorms. Huntsville was the tornado capitol of the USA last year)
