Polycarbonate resins, such as GE LEXAN and others, are extremely
susceptable to solvents such as WD-40.  The GE book lists these chemicals
to avoid:

Amines, Aromatic Hydrocarbons, strong alkaline detergents, Esters,
Halogenated Hydrocarbons, Ketones.

Also avoid the following combination:  High stress, Hot water, High
temperature (140-160 deg F).

It is really amazing to see the effects of these chemicals on a sample
part.  Extreme crazing and cracking in a matter of seconds!
