What would it cost to replace the plasma TV with an LCD version?  Then re-sell 
the plasma TV on eBay?  Probably a manageable net cost...agreed that you 
shouldn't have to bear that burden, but it could be the shortest path to a 
solution.  Other than shooting the plasma TV, that is...
