I've built one and like you had to add C to make it resonate. With it located inside I did get lots of noise from the power line wiring in the building. Added some CORCOM filters to the noise sources and all was clean. Receives well. For the other antenna I use a 1/2 wave wire center fed with a 1:1 current balun and about 125 ft of 1/2" hard-line. 73 Bob K4TAX |
