After lots of e-mail advice, I'm still unsure if my planned construction
technique makes sense. I'm planning on using 50' Rohn push-ups with
4-13awg standed copperweld wires for top loading. I'm planning to make
the top load wires plenty long (60' or more, advice wanted) and tune the
initial vertical by trimming them, then use the exact same dimensions
for the other three. References tell me to tune the initial vertical
5% below the desired center freq., which in my case is 1825. This would
mean tuning the initial vertical for 1734. The verticals will be ground
mounted on champaign bottles set on treated wood bases. To start, I'll
be using 4-135' radials for each vertical elevated 6' or so. As time
permits, I'll install a proper on-ground radial system. (please, no more
advice here). I'll be using the ComTek box and current baluns. Any
major flaws in my plan that may blow up the whole project? Please reply
direct.
