Gentlemen!

Please, please no more posts on how to throw a fishing line
over trees! We have now had a total of 10 PUBLIC posts on this
topic to which K8SM originally requested DIRECT RESPONSES ONLY.

        PLEASE observe our reflector guidelines:

************************************************************************
"Be considerate of other subscribers who have bandwidth limitations and
edit posts for succinctness. When responding to a specific individual,
think carefully before copying to the entire reflector."
************************************************************************

One of the factors which makes this reflector what it is has
to do with the quality of the people who read it. If we start cluttering
it up unnecessarily, it will surely go the way of other reflectors
you may be familiar with. I am determined to keep the quality of info
high here so we do not let that happen. We also have more international
subscribers to this reflector BECAUSE the information is high and
the noise low. Let's not spoil it. Yes, this reflector has different
guidelines than others that do not try to limit bandwidth!

Before you post, ask yourself the following questions:

1. Is this really useful information to the other 700 subscribers?
2. If it is question, please ask for direct responses and then post
a follow-up summary.
3. If it is a response, respond only to the person asking the
question rather than the entire reflector...especially if the question
is very specific and not of general interest...and especially if the
person asking the question has promised a summary.

I don't think we need to read 10 posts about throwing fishing
lines over trees. I would much rather read ONE question and ONE summary.
Thanks in advance for your consideration of our subscribers.

                                             73, Bill W4ZV, List admin

P.S. While on this topic, please observe our guidelines on QSL info.
There are many, many other sources for this such as worldwide Packet,
QSL reflectors, online databases, etc.
