I see from reading the topband reflector that I'm not the only one that
worked ZL7DK and KH9/N6MZ on 160 meters this morning. I got up at 0920Z
(4:20 AM local) and heard ZL7DK CQing with no takers. I sent my call one
time and he came right back. After our qso, he cq'd 3 more times with no
takers. I went back to bed. Before leaving for work this morning, I
turned 160 back on (1110Z). The noise was quite high from an approaching
storm. Under the noise was KH9/N6MZ. A couple calls and another new one
was in the log. I thought I worked AL7EL/KH9 on topband in 96 but rcvd
the dreaded "NOT IN LOG".
I recorded both qso's this morning. You can hear how they sounded on my
shunt fed tower in Notheastern Ohio. They are now up on my "Ham Gallery"
