N5OK and N5CG have now received most their equipment from the
airlines. Getting to and from the airport is a major problem because the B-K
Bridge connecting Koror and the airport callapsed a few weeks ago.
Getting to and from the airport requires a boat. They said it took 5
hours to go to the airport to get the equipment.
Coy said that he is going to try to put up the 160/80 meter antennas
today (Palau time) and may be on for Monday morning (USA time). Coy
injured his back getting the gear ready before their departure then
had to sit in an airplane seat for over 20 hours. He said he is
doing OK but can not sit at the rig for more than 15 minutes and can
not lift anything. Most of the operating is being done by Dave,
N5CG.
They are still missing one TS-930 and the TS-940 looks like it was
hit with a sledge hammer but still keeps on ticking.
Good luck,
