Plain silicone grease is not heatsink grease and is a thermal insulator. The white stuff is filled with a metal ceramic that is a good thermal conductor, the grease is just there to keep the extremely fine ceramic powder from being a nuisance. 73, Jerry, K0CQ -- FAQ on WWW: http://www.contesting.com/FAQ/tentec Submissions: tentec@contesting.com Administrative requests: tentec-REQUEST@contesting.com Problems: owner-tentec@contesting.com |
