Try putting STACKS=18,512 in CONFIG.SYS
The stacks keep track of data in nested routines, TR has gotten fairly
complicated. If the stack runs out of space, the program will crash.
There is an extended discussion and some careful testing by some in the
archives on this.
(Tree, ought to require this in the install instructions...)
For sure, on a machine like a 386 laptop, DO run dos without running Win
3.1. Win 3.1 is not booted. If it come on automatically, then REM the
statement in your autoexec.bat. If you want windows, then type "win" on
the DOS command line.
I can't think of any advantage to having Win 3.1 running during a TR
session.
