I sit there running stations and everything goes smoothly and nicely.
AUTO SEND CHARACTER COUNT = 4 and AUTO CALL TERMINATE = TRUE. I don't
type the 4th character until I have the call. Super!
Then this S3 guy comes through the noise - XY72/6ZO8XYZ/P/QRP, and I
realize my brain registers are too short to remember the whole call. So I
type it past the hanging down-arrow. The kilowatt turns on, nobody listening,
and I have not heard to the end of the call. Escape is too slow here. I know
now I should have pressed Alt-"-", but, had I done so, I had forgotten the
call in the process anyway (thinking consumes resources).
Now I dream of having
FOOT SWITCH MODE = BRAKE to hold back all sending until I let it go.
In a way opposite to START SENDING.
Hmm,
FOOT SWITCH MODE = ACCELERATOR
would be nice too to speed things up a bit (patent pending).
