FT1000MP, 100W, TH6DXX, dipole, zepp, tee vertical. I had almost given up on
20M with no CW signals on the band and no answers to CQs for the 10 or 15
minutes before the start. But, just before zero hour, WJ9B called at 599. So,
I was able to start on 20 working the west coast plus KW8N. 40M was OK after
people figured out to go well below 7040 to avoid the RTTY stations calling
VK0EK. Welcome to N0KQ, Bill, in CA. 80M had very high static crashes and I
didn't hear anyone west of SD/KS. 160M was good for some QSOs and mults at the
end and didn't have as much noise as 80M. Sorry. I forgot to use my hand key.
Can't handle a bug any more. Thanks for all QSOs. Will miss next week's
session. 73, John, K4BAI.
