Forgot to post to the SE Sprint reflector as well. Thanks for the QSOs from
a novice sprinter. My abilities seem to be improving, though slowly.
Apologies for the bad keying for the first 45 minutes or so. I have two
Winkey USBs, and one of them developed a hitch in its giddy up during CQWW
CW. Win-Test told me I was sending 34-36wpm, but I was sending more like
30wpm with mediocre spacing. Switching Winkeys solved the problem. I wonder
if it's a problem with the IC or if the construction? I will have to tear
into it with a soldering iron sometime soon.

My second Sprint. More or less equal to my last effort with big hardware
from
N4WW. Is that a good sign?
I don't remember losing quite so many jump balls last year, particularly on
80m. Perhaps that's an artifact of moving from a 2-element yagi at 130' to
an
inverted vee at 55'.
Hopefully the log checking will be more kind this year; last year was an
embarrassment.
Worked N4OX and K8MR from FL. It was nice to work relatively rare stuff like
VE5, WY, and VO2. I don't think I missed any multipliers that I heard this
year. Missed N2IC (and NM) altogether last February. This year worked N2IC
followed by AA5B in the same couplet. Also worked three SC (W4OC, W4IX,
K2SX)
after hearing W4OC all over the bands last February on the wrong half of
couplets.
