Hi:
I hope everyone will find a place to operate FD this weekend, even if it
is from home. This is a fun event, a good fellowship opportunity for
clubs, and a good test of emergency preparedness. I will take my
complete 100 watt station to the Coumbus club site and will be the cw op
(or maybe one of a few cw ops). We will be signing N4WV, which is the
C/S of Vicky, the XYL of Joe Owen, KO4RR. A lot of guys will put up a
tribander and wires for 40 and 80 for me. We will have two SSB
stations, a VHF station, and probably a satellite station if we
determine there is a satellite that our guys have gear for that has a
pass during the contest period that might allow for contacts. Anyone in
this area who would like to drop by or operate some, please do so. We
will be at the club house on Buena Vista Road. Set up will begin about
9 AM Saturday. If anyone would like to drop by and needs more definite
directions, please let me know.
Hope everyone has fun and a safe time. Watch out for pop up
thunderstorms.
73,
John, K4BAI.
P.S. Note that the rules call for signal report and QTH from DX
stations. If your software won't accept that, you might want to type in
1D (single op home station on commercial mains) and "DX" for QTH.
