The RSGB Commonwealth Contest takes place from 1000 UTC
Saturday 9th to 0959 UTC Sunday 10th March. It is CW-only
on the 5 contest bands from 80-10m, and is restricted to
entrants in the UK and Commonwealth call areas. There are
Open and Restricted categories.
Rules at www.rsgbcc.org/hf/rules/2013/rberu.shtml
SD V16.13 is free and unrestricted in this event - with
no need to register. You can get it from www.ei5di.com
or directly from www.ei5di.com/sd/sdsetup.exe
V16.13 is recommended. Earlier versions may stay in
DEMO mode - with delayed logging after 10 QSOs.
Select SD's "Commonwealth/BERU" template,
Exchange Serials. HQ stations add the "HQ" identifier.
Work UK and Commonwealth countries only. SD identifies
inappropriate calls and prefixes as "Non-Commonwealth".
Potential bonus QSOs are flagged instantly as you type
prefixes, and the corresponding bonus status for the
other bands is shown below the callsign.
The first three QSOs in each Commonwealth call area
count as bonus QSOs, and score an extra 20 points.
The UK counts as a single call area. QSOs with HQ
stations are bonus QSOs, independently of their call
area.
Use SDCHECK to create your Cabrillo .LOG file, and
upload it at www.rsgbcc.org/cgi-bin/hfenter.pl
Please mention SD in your soapbox comments.
73,
Paul EI5DI
Sponsor of the Team Competition trophies since 2008.
