I would say that the full display at ProIII or 7600 is not just fancy but
extremely convenient and informative. I for one get lots of info from the
display during operation. Having tried such a display once, one could badly
go back for a radio featuring a simpler one or lacking any display at all.

Icom 781 is really old. And requires crystal filters.
The 756PRO III is a much better radio that the PRO II. And it has better
RTTY filters and they are built into the radio.
On the new side... An Icom 7410 is basically a 7600 without the fancy
display. It's really a GREAT RTTY radio!
If you buy a 7410, buy a very late one or a new one. The older ones had ALC
spike issues on SSB.

Subject: [RTTY] Comparison
Can anyone give me a comparison of the Icom IC-781 and the ProII/III.
It would be helpful as I need to get another radio.
Thanks in advance.
