Does anyone know for sure if the yellow and blue edged overseas airmail
envelope is important or needed in overseas QSLing anymore. I have looked
all over the USPS web site and cannot see any mention of them. Further, when
I called their 800 number, I talked to a young lady who said they were no
longer needed anywhere in the world (although she really didn't sound all
that sophisticated to me, and I don't count on her word being official).
Does anyone really know whether these have any useful purpose anymore, or do
we just send plain white envelopes as long as we have air mail postage on
it? Any need for the "via Air Mail" or "Par Avion" written on the envelope
either?
Sorry for being off topic but looking for information from someone who
knows..
