Hi all,
Have some really good comments and suggestions so far. Below are a few
examples
that I made up for exchanges for different conditions based on these
comments.
Tnx so far to Dave K2YG, Mark N7MQ, and Phil GU0SUP for sending information.
As I was about to send this, Ekki, DF4OR sent a posting on the reflector that
confirms that we are on the right track. Tnx to you also.... Probably should
have waited till I saw that posting and wouldn't have to type as much.....
HI....
Example 1: (good qso non broken)
CQ CQ DE CY0AA CY0AA CQ UP 2-5 K <SP>
(DE W9IXX W9IXX W9IXX K <CR>) (<SP> OPTION)
W9IXX UR 599 599 W9IXX BK <CR> (<SP> OPTION)
Note: May add another W9IXX as: W9IXX UR 599 599 W9IXX W9IXX BK <CR> (<SP>
OPTION)
(DE W9IXX TU 599 W9IXX SK <CR>) (<SP> OPTION)
W9IXX TU DE CY0AA QRZ UP 2-5 K <SP>
Note: May switch this to:<SP> TU W9IXX DE CY0AA QRZ UP 2-5 K <SP>
Example 2: (broken call)
CQ CQ DE CY0AA CY0AA CQ UP 2-5 K <SP>
(DE W9IXX W9IXX W9IXX K <CR>) (<SP> OPTION)
(DE N4IXQ TU 599 N4IXQ SK <SP>
W9I? UR 599 599 W9I? BK <CR> (<SP> OPTION)
Note: May add another W9I? as: W9I? UR 599 599 W9I? W9I? BK <CR> (<SP> OPTION)
(DE W9IXX TU 599 W9IXX SK <CR>) (<SP> OPTION)
(DE N4IXQ TU 599 N4IXQ SK <SP>
W9IXX TU DE CY0AA QRZ UP 2-5 K <SP>
Note: May switch this to:<SP> TU W9IXX DE CY0AA QRZ UP 2-5 K <SP>
Example 3: (will need practice on this one, TNX Don AA5AU for this.)
CQ CQ DE CY0AA CY0AA CQ UP 2-5 K <SP>
(DE W9IXX W9IXX W9IXX K <CR>) (<SP> OPTION)
(DE GU0SUP GU0SUP GU0SUP K <CR>)
W9IXX UR 599 599 W9IXX BK <CR> (<SP> OPTION)
Note: May add another W9IXX as: W9IXX UR 599 599 W9IXX W9IXX BK <CR> (<SP>
OPTION)
(DE W9IXX TU 599 W9IXX SK <CR>) (<SP> OPTION)
W9IXX TU DE CY0AA NOW GU0SUP UR 599 GU0SUP K <SP>
Note: May switch this to:<SP> TU W9IXX DE CY0AA NOW GU0SUP UR 599 GU0SUP K <SP>
(DE GU0SUP TU 599 GU0SUP SK <CR>) (<SP> OPTION)
GU0SUP TU DE CY0AA QRZ UP 2-5 K <SP>
Note: May switch this to:<SP> TU GU0SUP DE CY0AA QRZ UP 2-5 K <SP>
I am sure there will be others and will have to adj as I go by.
Used CR in above as to make the call standout more by forcing a carriage
return.
Also may use the: <SP> TU W9IXX DE CY0AA QRZ UP 2-5 K <SP>
with the space TU W9IXX DE which gives a little time before sending the
confirming
call in case W9IXX isn't listening right away.
Side note here, when was in the service in 60s we used two CR and one
LF. Little easier now.... HI..
Did RTTY from an AN/GRC-26D both fixed and mobile... Sure had a nice rhythm
to it at 60WPM..
Sri showing my age here.... HI...
Did a great circle map here and seems that NA and EU are going to be
good. OC and AS/JA will
be tough and will have to see if I can work the prop right on that. Should
have all freqs
to use and suspect 40 thru 17 will be the best. Like 30m so may be there a lot.
Will also stick with a call till I get it right. Have been in that
situation and know what it
is like. Good example is VK0IR on 80 to Chicago had 15min opening and
stuck with me for about
4 exchanges to get it right on cw. Tnx VK0IR operator ?? and team.
Tnx agn for the great comments/suggestions.
73 Phil W9IXX
PS: Was going to wait to respond/tnx but thought good suggestions should be
shown right away.
