Hello RTTY-contesters,
the DARC celebrates the 50th anniversary of the WAEDC contest this year. The
RTTY part will be on the next weekend (13th/14th Nov.).
The start page for the rules and other informations is
http://www.darc.de/referate/dx/fed.htm.
The official rules are on http://www.darc.de/referate/dx/fedcwr.htm.
You can find detailed information and some hints on
http://www.darc.de/referate/dx/fgdcw.htm.
A specific feature and very interesting part of this contest is the QTC
traffic. If you have a software package which is suitable for the QTc
exchange (like WriteLog or RCKRTTY) you will love it! Those operators who
don't have such a software can download a freeware version of RCKRTTY by
Walter, DL4RCK at http://www.rckrtty.de. Give it a try!
To commemorate this anniversary a team of 5 operators (DJ3NG, DJ3IW, DJ5JK,
DL6JZ and DL9NDS) will activate the special call sign DA0WAE during the
contest. We hope for a lot of participating stations. Every QSO will be
confirmed automatically through the buro. If needed direct QSL exchange
will go via DL7UFN.
Some other members of the DRCG DL-DX RTTY Contest Group under the leadership
of DL9NEI will make another Multi/Single effort using the call sign DL0TTY.
QSLs go via the DL-buro also.
So fellows, check your antennas and the keyboard buffers, tell your wife
that she is allowed to visit her parents over the whole weekend and let's
have a party!
73 + 55
Wolf, DL6JZ
(in behalf of DA0WAE)
