Hello Phil,
many thanks for your compliment! Meanwhile I have replaced the
picture set with a new set: more contrast and more brightness. ~:)
I am answering via the reflector, because some of the information
might be of interest for the group also!?!?
It would be a great idea from you and your friends, to visit the
HAMRADIO next year! There is no special "RTTY" hotel. I am staying
in the "Goldenes Rad"; downtown Friedrichshafen (a small town).
The distance to the lake is about 100m and the next bus stop for
the shuttle bus to the exhibition halls is about a 5 min. walk away.
>> THE MEETINGPOINT << in the evenings for DX-er and Contester
is the Restaurant "Adler" in Ailingen, about 7 km out of
Friedrichshafen. No tickets, no buffet; just stay there,
order anything you want to eat and to drink. There you'll
see many Europeans and many none Europeans from all over also!
A lot of many very well known DX-er and Contester (all modes ~:)
This time I have spoken with some RTTY-guys and we are planing
to invite all RTTY-fans to a "round table" in the next year.
Generally I arrive on Friday afternoon and leave on Monday.
The HAMRADIO starts on Friday before noon and ends on Sunday
early afternoon. On Sunday evening it is always a good idea
to walk around in a small area at the lake (Friedrichshafen,
downtown). In many restaurants with tables outside you'll see
some HAMs (always in groups :-) for dinner and some beers. Just
say hello and you are invited to join the group. For that
reason I am staying until Monday.
