Screwed up on last post on this subject as following is information from
Dan Henderson.
Hi Bill:
Different multipliers are used for different contests. The RTTY Roundup
does not use ARRL sections for multipliers, it uses states, Canadian
provinces and territories, and DC as domestic multipliers. Do not
confuse this with the ARRL-SECTION: field in the Cabrillo
header. That field is NOT the sent exchange. It is used to sort for
contest awards, that are based on Sections, not states. DC sends the
exchange of DC, but includes MDC in the ARRL-SECTION: field in the
header.
Thanks and Happy New Year!

Subject: RTTY Round-UP Multipliers / Scoring
Dan following is extract from RTTY Round_Up Rules for Scoring.
Please note that that the District of Columbia is designated as (DC)
however all references I can find for ARRL Sections and Scoring do not
contain the (DC) designator. Rather I find (MDC) in the ARRL/RAC Section
listing. This brings up the following questions. What Designator
should a station within the District of Columbia send when making an
exchange in the contest? Should a new Designator of (DC) be established
for this contest only?
Sorry for the confusion.
Regards, Bill, W5BBR
