Hi all,
Thanks to Bob UT1IA for the info about producing the correct Cabrillo file
for the Roundup, but I still seem to recall that part of the problem was
having something against STATE as well as QTH in the ini file of WF1B.
PLEASE do make sure you have nothing against either of these sections, then
follow these instructions CAREFULLY!
It is important to re-start WF1B, and then close it again, otherwise the new
info isn't read into the software, and it will produce another faulty LOG
file.
Here is what Bob wrote, with a few extra comments from me: (1a, 1b)
After some experiments with rtty.ini file I discovered that just
one thing we have to do to get right cabrillo file (i.e. with serial
numbers). You should correct your rtty.ini file in the following way:
1) Find Qth=<your country prefix> under the [PROFILE] heading
and make it like Qth=
1a) ALSO :- Make sure STATE= is blank as well.
1b) Go to the end of the INI file, and delete ALL of the section marked
[CABRILLO], then close and save the ini file.
2) Run RTTY by WF1B and reload your ARRL RU .bin file.
3) Then "Set My Information" window appear - press Ctrl-Enter.
4) After the pogram loaded - press Alt-X.
5) Run Cabrillo.exe to create the Cabrillo file, making sure that you
select 'DX' in the ARRL Section window and name the Cabrillo output
with your call sign. (xxxxx.log)
I seem to recall a similar situation last year, and I sent an email with
these instructions then, but I didn't keep a copy, as I had thought that Ray
had fixed it for v5.02!
Finally, please remember to label your log file with your own callsign, as
it will really annoy Eddie if he gets loads of files called ARRLRU.LOG!
Cheers for now, and see you all in the BARTG contest in a couple of weeks!
Very best 73 de Phil GU0SUP
