Hi Charlie, yes those tests you mentioned are just the baseline of what
we used to test NOAA WX satellite modules to. We designed, manufactured
and tested many of the imagers and sounders floating around up there at
ITT. Many more specialized/tailored tests performed as well.

This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

Most military electronics have the same thing done
Look at Mil-STD-461
Spent enough time in Faraday cages testing this back when
The Sat is probably tested to CE102 and 106(conducted
emissions),CS101,102,103,104,105,114,115,116,117(conducted susceptibility), RE
102,103 (Radiated Emissions) and RS103 (radiated susceptibility)
There are other tests, depending on environment. For instance stuff on Surface
Ships has more Radiated Susceptibility testing due to the radars etc.
All sorts of fun, and why I’ve said “yes you can make clean switchers”, because
I’ve tested them to may/most of the specs. (Again, in the 80s)
