I'll guess this is a non-issue.
If its just a open/close switch contact attached to a float (no fancy
electronics), that does not seem all that bad. At most you might hear an
arc on radio when contacts open or close. Since the float is there in the
event of a malfunction that should not occur in the first place, I doubt the
switch open/closes that often, perhaps never.

Having a condensation safety switch installed on a central A/C unit and was
wondering if anyone has had issues with this type of device? They use a
float switch to cut off continuity to the A/C thermostat in a case where the
water levels rise from a clogged drain pipe.
