I just bought a '93 Plymouth Voyager mini-van and it has an odd
noise problem. I haven't installed the ham radio yet, but I
notice it on the AM broadcast band.
There is no noise problem until I honk the horn, then a loud,
raspy static starts and continues on for several minutes or until
I turn the engine off and back on. At first I thought it was
just alternator hash, recharging the battery after a momentary
load, but it doesn't happen with any other load such as
headlights, etc, only the horn.
Anyone else had this problem?
