Yes, there were several PCMCIA cards tested and verified in TurboCell
802.11a mode utilizing the KN205 board. The problem was that most of these
cards Do NOT HAVE EXTERNAL ANTENNA CONNECTIONS. The Proxim 8480-WD was an
exception, but at the time it was not readily available.So the decision was
made to move to the mini PCI radio that was better adaptable and performed
better within our parameters.The bin files that support the PCMCIA cards
were released (KNRGATCXX), but it is utilized in conjunction with the KN150
or 250 embedded sytems.
