I have copied a reply sent from D.Harman (Terabeam Sales). Although it is not
the entire response, I hope it sheds some light on concerns related to our
products!.I will continue to post replies as I receive them.

>There have been a lot of rumors going around about boards. Most of them

started as Terabeam came in and questioned the sanity of selling boards that

competed with our system products. Even if Karlnet wasn't acquired we had

the same concerns and would have limited board sales.

The policy for boards are as follows: We will continue to sell boards and

software. The pricing will be the same or slightly higher. We are looking

for a distributor to sell boards, as Terabeam is not set up to do the tech

support, shipping, and other related items for small orders. The minimum

order for a distributor/OEM is 1,000 boards with software. For an OEM they

have to bring value to the product in some manner. This means they can't

buy parts from Terabeam and then do the assembly. They will have had to

manufacturer a housing or antenna to qualify.

To keep WISPs from building their own systems we also have another strategy,

which will be a very good deal for companies like yours. We are selling the

new CPE with the 5.8GHz Atheros radio, inside a 21dBi antenna, with 20Mbps

throughput at a list price of $499. This is down from the $649 that Karlnet

was selling it for. This price includes everything except the Ethernet

cable. I showed this pricing around and was told it is cheaper then what

they could build it themselves for. It also comes with CSU software on it,

with encryption, routing, and all the other features. The $499 comes with

TurboCell software with unlimited users on it. Street price should be lower

then this. The 2.4GHz is coming in a week or two and we'll also have the

4.9GHz public safety unit at about the same time. The 4.9GHz unit will be

more expensive of course.

Really there is no reason why a WISP would want to buy parts and put them

together. The ones we have will have a full warranty, FCC certified, fully

tested unit, at a lower price then they can build one.
