What happens when you get interference on that channel? Are you going to
climb the tower and remove the filter so you can change channels on the
radio. Just a thought! You would really be restricting your options should
"in channel" interference become an issue.

Yes.
The filter can be set to, for instance, 2.427GHz (channel 4) with a 22
MHz bandwidth (+/- 11 MHz from the center frequency), which is the
optimum bandwidth for an 802.11b channel. All radio signals above or
below that bandwidth will be filtered out before they hit the radio.
Looks like about $325 for one unit. We'll see... gonna order one if no
one offers any advice against it. :-)

One typical customer off this base as a s/n of -64dbm/-79dbm.
On our "quiet" bases, we see customers at similar distances and CPE
setups having something like -58dbm/-95dbm. Clean, quiet, and FAST. :-)
I'm looking at a company now that has a 2.4GHz wide bandpass filter that
they adjust to a specific center freq with a 22-25 MHz notch -- I'm
gonna stick with the 22 MHz bandwidth simply because of the nastiness of
the noise we see.
