If you give them everything technically they can control how much
bandwidth they receive plus gain access to info about your network. Does
not seem like a good idea, would not recommend this to my customers.

depends on whether the customer buys the CPE or not
if we lease/loan the CPE to customer, then no
if customer purchases the CPE, we give em everything
