Doug, I believe that this card is the SL-2011CD PC Card
(Senao). Can you recommend any well
behaved 100mW PRISM II cards, or is it recommended that we go the SBC
route with Karlnet TC on flash? I'm willing to go that route eventually,
as the current AP-1000 could find a home elsewhere in our network, although,
at this point, I'd like to hold off on that move. I'd love to send
in the card, Doug, but it's like my liver, I'm currently using it.
:) (even in it's crippled fashion, it gets the signal to my
customers...) But for the future, I'd like to know what to
do.
Speaking of SBC's, what's recommended out there
for Karlnet/TC that can support say, more than 2 radios, and can run off a
single 12-15vdc supply?
Thanks,
Norm

Subject: RE: [Karlnet] PRISM II 100mW
card and Karlnet TC V4.02
Norm,
We see this
problem with some of the higher power radios in the AP-1000 and the
RG-1000. Those pieces of hardware were made for the 32mW radios and
they will act funny with the 100mW and 200mW radios coming out. I have not
seen the radio you are using, but if you want to send one in for testing
we'd be glad to look at it for you.
Doug
The second, much more serious problem is that
after changing the params in the AP-1000 remotely, and telling it to
reboot, it hung and required a long trip up the mountain to reboot it by
power cycling. (I wasn't a happy camper.) This
AP-1000 is running Karlnet TC v4.02, and has both interfaces running TC,
one, the Orinoco card as a satellite for the backhaul, and the other, the
PRISM II 100mW card running as an ISP Base as the PtMP. I
tried rebooting it from the configurator several times, and about half the
time it would hang on reboot and necessitate a power cycle.
Anyone seeing these, or
similar problems?
Norm
