CT will NOT support usb keying..
You will have to go to different software to do that.

I'd consider a microHAM microKeyer (discontinued but available used) or
a
microKeyer 2 http://www.microham-usa.com/Products/MKII.html,
or if you will never want to use the digital modes maybe a WinKey USB
http://www.k1el.com/ and a USB-to-Serial adapter for rig control.
The WinKey USB is available as a kit.
There may be other answers.

Subject: [ct-user] Radio Interface with a laptop
Can anyone tell me how to key both CW and also interface a radio with a
laptop that has only USB ports?
Is something commercially available for interface or do I have to build
something? Is there a place where
schematics or diagrams are available?
I have a laptop and would like to use a CW keying program on it. I'm
not particularly concerned with paddle
support. I may try the character version of CT too, as the laptop's OS
is Vista Home Premium, so there is
no DOS support.
Thanks
Al
