with the upcoming RDXC some figures about the operation times in this
contest as calculated by the organizers in their score list for 2009
(www.rdxc.org):
Basic finding over the >1300 allband-entries: an amp makes you operate
longer... All High-power-categories had op-times above the average of 10,8
hours in this 24-hour-competition.
Those 10,8 hours are exactly the value of 2005 while 2006 and 2007 had 9,8
hours.
The WRTC-qualifying may have had its impact because the percentage of
full-time ops (8,5%) was higher than in recent years.
Still the majority operates less than halftime with 60,8 percent staying
below 12 hours and 69 percent below 14 hours.
