To contest fans who just love a good write-up full of insights as to the
competitor's successful strategies or an analysis of how propagation
played a role I have a suggestion for you... go to:

The results and writeup for the 2,003 Florida QSO Party are now on line.
Before you dismiss it as just a state QSO Party take a minute to enjoy
the work of a master.
The Florida Contest Group takes great pride in its sponsorship of the
Florida QSO Party - in the short time we have taken stewardship of the
FQP it has grown into a pretty major event! One of the reasons for its
success is the personal pride exhibited by the write-up's author.
Read the write-up - you will see a fascinating collection of insights by
none other than a three time WRTC Champion. Florida Contest Group
President, and WRTC co-champion K1TO beats a lot of us most of the time,
ever wonder how? To get an insight inside his mind and how it works -
read the writeup! It might inspire you - it might humble you - but one
thing is for sure it will keep you riveted.
The 2,003 running of the Florida QSO Party is almost upon us - it is
next month on April 26th and 27th. Rules are at the FQP site - why not
make it a point to participate in a contest where the winning mobile
teams average 100/hour or more, a European entry can Sweep all 67
Florida Counties and the fixed station SSB champ makes 2457 QSO's in 20
hours!!!
Florida Ham clubs are encouraged to contact the Florida Contest Group -
the FQP makes a great introduction to HF Contesting for new hams - it is
an opportunity for Florida hams to be rare DX as the sought after
stations... it is just plain fun!

Be sure to check what the records are from your QTH - and plan on
breaking them come April 26th and 27th!
Come April 26th there will be Floridians eager to fatten their logs
including mobile teams ready for action with just one thought:
Let's Roll!
73,
Jim, K4OJ
...oh yeah, 43 days until the FQP 2,003 - be there!
