Usual disclaimer: I don't speak for WRTC etc, but I can speak
for myself as a judge and my decisions were based on discussions
with other judges but not based on any official policy by the WRTC.
There were judgement calls in some places but my decisions were
based on what I perceived to be the most likely scenario. If someone
worked W6XYZ and that was a unique but 40 other stations worked
W6XYG (this example works for both phone and cw since the calls
sound similar on phone and differ by only one dit on cw) then I
scratched it. If the computer made no "suggestions" of similar calls
or made "suggestions" of what the software thought was similar
but I could not see how a good op could have made the mistake(s)
necessary to make the error then I would NOT scratch it.
In other words, if I could make a very strong argument on what the call
should have been then I scratched it. If I had no clear idea as to what it
probably was then I kept it in.
The unique issue is particulary sensitive to me since I have gotten on
the air and worked friends in many contests and probably was a unique--
but not bad-- QSO in many logs over the years.
Trey is correct--it will take a week or more for the WRTC attendees
to recover after the week long non-stop party. Guess I am getting old
and just can't party like I used to!
But what a fine event! Unbelievable what the hosts did to pull it all off.
Many of the organizers worked at "full-rate-boogie" for the entire week
and you just knew that they had been working like that for weeks
beforehand. Congratulations to everyone involved in organizing the
event.

Dear dr. Bafoofnik,
>Its now time for the WRTC team members, judges and observers to come forward

A number of dr. Bafoofnik imposters were present at the WRTC, all wearing
the good doctor's hast but NO IMPOSTER would request an ANTIDOTE BEFORE
the ANECDOTES. So this message must be from the real dr. Bafoofnik
since he is the only one with enough insight to take preventative action
and request ANTIDOTES BEFORE the ANECDOTES.
