Hopefully, the tube socket just needs to be cleaned from some oxidation.
Possibly the solder has flowed out of the filament pins. Tube could be
bad, too.
The impedance problem is probably caused by the 1 tube not working. The
output network is designed for 2 tubes working in parallel. Also, the 2K
Desktop Henry has the filaments wired in parallel, while a lot of the older
floor models have the filaments wired in series.
Do not power up the amp with the covers off, the interlock will damage the
HV circuitry, even if the amp is in standby.
High voltage is present whenever the amp is on!
There are at least 2 schematics for the 2K Desktop. One manual has an 800
phone number on the front page, the other has a Telex number.
