I think that'd be a superlative idea...!
For your benefit --- as well as for those who may already have ready access
to past issues of HAM RADIO magazine --- the Bill Orr (W6SAI) series
entitled, "Design Considerations For Linear Amplifiers," appeared in three
parts, in these specific issues:
-June 1979 (Part I, pp. 12-18);
-July 1979 (Part II, pp. 34-58), and,
-August 1979 (Part III, pp. 58-65).
These are HIGHLY recommended reading for ANYONE --- neophyte, or
otherwise --- who might be contemplating the homebrewing of an RF power
amplifier...
