Unfortunately, the business was more than just the amateur market
(it provided a large number of aftermarket replacements for the
broadcast market) but more specifically was heavily tied to the
design skills of Peter Dahl. I seriously doubt that the business
would be a going concern based on the amateur market for existing
designs and any investor would have a difficult time making a
return if he needed to compensate/compete for a top flight
transformer designer.
P W Dahl & Co, survived because of Peter Dahl's intellectual
contribution was valued at considerably less than the market rate.
