. . . you don't need to run SSB. An HF class E transmitter running 1500 watts CW, FM or AM can be built using MOSFETs costing $2.50 each. I havn't used a tube amplifier for quite some time now, and everything's homebrew. Check out the class E web site at: http://www.classeradio.com Regards, Steve |
