While I am a Yaesu man, I gotta admit that the Icom IC706 Mark IIG is a
pretty darn nice radio. I think it is nicer and better laid out than the
FT-100 Field Commander from Yaesu. If I were to buy one of these rigs,
it would be a 706. It's been out for some time has plenty of
accessories, etc.
