Comments:
UTC I was 156 qso's added of last year. The low bands were not great though and
my numbers started slipping. I hit 1,000,000 points an hour before the halfway
mark. Saturday afternoon from 1900-2200utc was painfully slow here. Then it
picked back up a bit and I regained my lead. Saturday morning EU opening was
nice, but Sunday it was like someone had dropped an RF curtain over EU. Signals
were few and difficult to copy, though strangely I easily worked a couple of
African stations. After midnight on Saturday it got really slow and with lack
of activity I had trouble staying awake. Caffeine helped. Sunday afternoon I
concentrated a bit on picking up multipliers then finished up running on 20
mtrs. Worked 91 DXCC entities overall. Score about 10% over last year, a new
personal best in this contest. Thanks for the QSO's! Dave ka6bim
