Comments:
. . .and I was so looking forward to this contest. Apologies to my team mates
on SMC Strong Safeties, but I was IR.
Tweaked my back Friday morning at work, immediately got some NSAIDs and ice on
it, and by end of day I wasn't too bad. Took it easy Friday night. Saturday
morning it was sore but not terrible, but kept up with the pills and ice.
However, it kept getting progressively worse, and I knew from experience where
it was headed. Early Saturday I thought I'd get on for at least 100 Qs. Close
to the starting gun I was going to shoot for 50 if I could stand it. I got 45.
After 1 Q the computer shut down (a problem that I thought I had licked), and it
took 20 minutes to fully regain its senses.
I was having a tough time copying, a tough time sending with N1MM+, and sending
by hand was abysmal (ask N6TR and VE5SF how those QSOs went -- I'm not sure I
got them completed).
By 0030 I couldn't sit in the chair any more.
Hope everyone had fun.
73, Jim KK0U
