Earlier this week I got an invitation from George to operate his place since
K5OT had to cancel. Given the current state of my station this seemed like a
good idea so I accepted. His place is about an hour away and I haven't been
there since he did all his station automation and put up the new antennas.
Wow! He has done a great job of making a great station even better!
He even built up a Windows PC and loaded N1MM+ on it so I wouldn't have to
relearn TR-Linux. What a host! Thanks for the seat George!
His station worked great and I had a blast. My best start ever. Got the sweep
when VO1HP called in on 40M in the early morning. Actually had some decent
hours Sunday. In fact was getting to 1300 QSO's was pretty easy. Getting to
1400 QSO's -- not so much and it was a long slog from 2100Z until I finished up
at 0142Z.
Congratulations to all the big scorers and thanks to all for the QSO's. And a
huge thanks to George and Sara (who cooked up a FB plate of enchiladas to ease
the pain of the last hour!)
