Comments:
I admit it - I gave up early. I took off early off times hoping the low bands
would be better later, as I have better antennas there. Weak signals and
thunderstorms killed me there, so when I reached 500Q's I abrubtly stopped.
I repaired my ZS6BKW and got my repaired radio back 2 days before the contest,
so was looking forward to bustin' the rust off the SO2R skills.
There were 136 bandchanges and 58 (11.6%) probable 2nd radio QSOs.
Wish the bands had been kinder to me. A smattering of Es on 10&15, but I
think a lot of ops gave up and went to 20/40 never checking these bands.
VE9HF was worked on all bands. (thanks!) Although fairly close(25km of the back
of my antennas), he went QRP and I think I busted a QSY, so the kudos go to him
for finding me on all bands.
K5RM-5 bands..if I'd stuck it out longer on 160m, maybe I wudda got 6 with
John.
August NAQP from out East with low sunspots is a real test of patience. I guess
mine have dwindled a little.
Thanks for all the Q's. It actually was fun!
