Comments:
What started out to be a very casual participation turned into a semi-casual on
Saturday morning. Friday night I got on at the opening bell to find 15 meters
pretty much dead. I wasted 30 minutes of operating with only 5 Qs to show for
it. Done for the night. Saturday morning I got on about 12:00 UTC to quite a
different band which quickly changed my mind. I operated for 5 hours until
17:00 UTC. Then mid-Saturday afternoon I put in another hour and then got back
in the chair around 21:00 UTC and pointed NW toward Japan for the next 3 hours.
Quit around 00:30 for the night. Did about the same thing on Sunday. When done
the MM hour meter said 18.
All stats were down from last year with the most noticeable being SE Asia and
South Pacific mults. A BIG THANKS to the Japanese Hams that added 180 Qs to
the log and beat out Germany that came in a close second at 162 Qs.
Thanks for the Qs and the fun and the excellent morning EU pile-ups.
See you this coming weekend in ARRL-DX 160.
73,
Bruce N1LN
